1. Secure Document Submission
Law firms and attorneys may submit documents via email for initial review. All materials are handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for translation-related purposes.
If applicable, firm-specific formatting preferences, prior filings, or reference materials may be provided at this stage to ensure consistency across documents.
Documents are not retained beyond the scope of the engagement unless otherwise requested.
2. Review, Quote & Turnaround Confirmation
Upon review of the submitted materials, a clear quotation and estimated turnaround time will be provided.
Turnaround timelines are discussed in alignment with filing requirements and internal deadlines. Rush requests may be accommodated when feasible but are not guaranteed.
No work begins until scope, timeline, and exceptions are confirmed.
3. Translation & Certification (If Required)
Translations are prepared by a competent Chinese-English legal translator with experience handling court filings, immigration submissions, and attorney-prepared materials.
Where required, certification statements are provided in accordance with USCIS and court filing standards. The translator’s role is strictly limited to linguistic translation.
4. Review, Revisions & Delivery
Translations are prepared with attention to accuracy, terminology consistency, formatting, and exhibit references.
Reasonable revisions are available to ensure alignment with the source text and agreed scope. Final files are delivered securely in PDF and/or editable Word format, as requested.
5. Ongoing Collaboration & Workflow Alignment
For law firms and attorneys handling recurring Chinese-English matters, ongoing collaboration is welcome.
Terminology preferences, formatting standards, and workflow requirements may be maintained across cases to support efficiency and consistency within legal teams.
